The AWE Touring Edition Exhaust + Performance Mid Pipe (downpipe-back)


Add the AWE Performance Mid Pipe and you’re dialing it up a notch. Still sophisticated thanks to AWE’s 180 Technology®, but with a bit more aggression. The AWE Performance Mid Pipe is non-resonated, and replaces the factory resonated section with straight-through 3-inch T304 stainless steel tubing. Ready to rumble.

All products are confirmed to fit both manual and automatic transmission, as well as RWD and xDrive vehicles.

Tip Options:

AWE logo. Double walling. Individually adjustable. Available as 90mm or 102mm, Chrome Silver or Diamond Black, and 96mm double walled carbon fiber tips. Lookin’ good.













Sound Perfection: AWE 180 Technology®

Perfect tone, compliments of AWE 180 Technology®.

As exhaust gases exit the 340i engine and flow into an AWE 180 Technology® equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports, and into reflection chambers. Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. By controlling the size and location of the ports and the chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies.

Depending on which options you choose, the AWE BMW F30 340i Exhaust Suite includes the AWE Touring Edition Exhaust itself, the Performance Mid Pipe, all necessary hardware, and two tips in desired size and finish.

It's a 340i. It replaced the 335i.

I think he is referring to the last video on this page with the mid-pipe which is clearly a 335i.

Yah, the video posted for sound is labeled 340i but is a 335i

Gents,

The 335 and 340 are very similar in sound with the mid pipe applied. We did not want to cut up the stock system on the 340 to equip it with the Performance Midpipe (because they would have been messed up on our behalf).
