Stupid question about clear bras

Do you guys bother waxing over the clear bra? Also, did you wax the parts of the car that had the clear bra applied before it was put on there? Thanks.

Yes you can wax over the film.

No don't wax it before applying the film as they will prep the car and remove any wax it has so that the film will stick

it's not a bad idea to protect your clear film with a good sealant.

we have been using

Sonax Brilliant Shine
Sonax Polymer Net Shield
Menzerna Power Lock

All the above work great.

Here's what Xpel says. Of course it's not shocking that they are promoting their own product:

Contamination from road oils, diesel smoke, pollen, and pollution can cause discoloration and deglossing of the film. While traditional automotive waxes can provide a small level of protection against contamination, XPEL Flawless Finish Film Sealant is designed specifically to provide the strongest possible barrier against these and other contaminants. Moreover, waxes that contain dyes and other chemicals such as naptha or kerosene may discolor or degloss the film over time and should be avoided.

What would you think of just using Armor All?

Yes don't use waxes with solvents... use water based waxes for example
The wax with the film is not much for protection but for better shine

These are the products i plan on using. The kit comes with a glaze, wax and sealant. I guess I need to look into the glaze and wax. I'm assuming that the sealant will be good though. The car is mineral white.
