Kidney Grille Color?

Hello, I have a black 2011 328 and I was wondering if I should go with the bmw oem gloss black kidney grille, an aftermarket gloss black kidney grille or a matte black one. I haven't seen too many in person so I do not know which looks the best. Thanks

Depends on the color of your car. A lot of people like the matte ones I personally prefer the gloss. My e92 is crimson red. Bmw performance gloss black grills are pricey. Ecs tuning sells some cheaper options that work just as great. For me didn't see a reason in buying the ones from Bmw as when I sell the car it's getting the stockers thrown back on. Hope this helps.

gloss for the e9x platform and newer.

I have a jet black f10 with a gloss black (shadowline) grill and it looks great.

matte was for e46 and older.

I found a few gloss on mod bargains and they went for 110$

Also depends on whether E90 or E92. Definitely gloss for both. If E92, I wouldn't use the Perf Grille as is (looks a little cheap IMO), but swap out the slats.

Get the BMW grills. Not a significant price differential between OEM and aftermarket grills. I got mine from forum sponsor getbmwparts.
http://www.getbmwparts.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462 $58 for the pair, genuine BMW.

https://www.ecstuning.com/ES2702977/ Aftermarket is $59.

On a black car, gloss black. Matte just doesn't look right unless there's contrast against the colour of the car.

I got gloss black ones on my jet black car. It has the sport package so the rest of the car has the glossy shadowline trim. It made no sense to slap on matte black so I just went with it. I love how it looks and have gotten quite a few compliments on it.

the OEM ones are $58 PER SIDE off GetBmwParts. that makes the aftermarket grills half the price. and most ebay sellers give free shipping while Getbmwparts will charge at least $12 to ship those.

Gloss black on my sapphire black e92. Makes it look stealth and matches the shine of paint work. I'd go matte black if I had white or blue but not a black or grey colour

I'm also looking for my black sapphire e90. Last week I saw what I think was an f30 m3, black with gloss black grill, but not even spacing of the slats. Looked really good. Was thinking of looking for something like that
