I fit the box of my 47" TV in my F32 with the seats down with plenty of room to spare in both dimensions. So you SHOULD be fine. But I would get the box measurements from the website of whatever store you're buying from and measure just to make sure.

Yes, but grab the pack dimensions and a measuring tape to be safe.

A little off the focus here, but I wouldn't buy the curved TV - after doing a lot of research, I learned that the curved screen doesn't work well with smaller screens (under 70") and the general opinion is that they're not any better than a flat screen. The curve is supposed to match that of your eyeball according to what they say, and you have to sit at the correct distance, etc. Better to get a 4K UHD set. That said, the opening between the rear seat area and the trunk is probably not wide enough for a TV box that size, and it likely won't fit through the rear door opening either.

My assumption is no. I bought a 55" flat-panel recently, and I didn't try to fit it in my car because I don't have the fold-down rear seats. However, I did try to transport my old 40" flat-panel (in it's original box) to my dad's house, and it wouldn't even fit through the trunk opening. I laid an old towel on the back seat and slid it in the back door, and it took up the whole back seat. So, needless to say, if the 40" barely fit, I'm positive a 55" curved TV wouldnt fit at all.
You could always get a rack and strap it on top! EDIT: Actually, I'm wrong. I remember my 40" WOULD fit through the trunk opening, but it was too long to fit in the trunk w/out fold-down rear seats. As for my 55", I used my mom's Ford Edge with the rear seats folded down, and it took up the majority of the cargo area, so probably won't fit in the F30.

I have to put my golf clubs in the trunk a certain way to make sure they fit right--I don't think you are going to fit a 55" TV.

55" Curve is too small to appreciate, in my opinion. I'd get panel dimensions online and see if it'll fit. The boxes tend to add a ton of bulk.

Random question but for a frame of reference would you say the tv is bigger than 2 adult bodies?

I don't think it's going to fit. I BARELY fit a 46" (in the box) in my Impala back seat..and that car is a whole heck of a lot bigger than our Fxx whatevers. That being said, it has a better chance if you have an F36 since the seats drop and its wide

Well I had no problem bringing my new samsung 55" 4k uhd along with many other things...F31 FTW! Can't see why it wouldn't fit with the seats folded down, but others seem to indicate it won't work, so good luck with the move!

Is this one of the new LG OLED tv's? I hear those are pretty awesome.
Personally I just spring for the white glove delivery service. Nothing beats sitting on the sofa having a drink while two guys unpack and set up your new tv. |
