Hello Chaps,

One of the things I wanted but couldn't get in the new car (without spending another $5k) was a leather dash.

Has anyone looked into retrofitting one and if so can you please share the detail?

Has anyone get on contacts (Sydney) who could do this?

I had a look into trimming the dash & was quoted around $3K at Doyles in car.

which model have you ordered and has it gone into production yet? If you look at the individual options the price varies from as little as $260 to $2100 depending on the package you have and model. ie XT1 (instrument panel finished in leather) only costs $260 for the 340i but $2100 for the 320i/d and 330i. I went full merino interior and full leather dash and was all under $2500.

I ordered it around three months ago and collect it on Wednesday.

In mine there was no stand alone option for the leather dash and the only way to do it was add another $5K to upgrade to the individual leather and that is on top of upgrade to Nappa I have already paid for.

Appreciate that thought though!

I wonder if it's possible to order the leather dash as an OEM part(s) and then DIY?
