I bought it for $29 and then I found out I had to get another cable for $120 bucks. I ditched that whole idea. I went the OBD route. Plus the cable is a special order. They make it when you order it. It takes a little while.

I do have to admit its a very cool concept and I would have loved to do it, however the big BUT here is you cannot run the BT cable and the OBD connection. It wont work, so you still have to posit tap into the can wires which is something I am NOT going to do and leave traces.

Seems like you're mixed up. You use the JB4 Connect with the JB4 running OBDII CANbus.

I am/was. I was reading something a while back about processing power of the board and that the jb4 had to be Posi tapped in order for the BT module to properly work. That seems not to be the case.

jb4 bluetooth connect kit is great! Best decision ever! Everything is right on my iphone. No need to have a cable running into the glove box! Can do everything on my iphone as with a cable on a lappy!

How long does it take to change maps? Can you do it on the fly ?
And how can you get your data logs uploaded onto Terry's forum?
Can you show us a video of the engine bay where the JB4 is installed, and what wires u had to put through where to achieve the OBD2 stuff.

So just the OBD2 version of JB4 + buying the JB4 Connect software on iphone and thats it?

Takes 3 seconds to change the map. You can email the the logs. The jb4 is installed right where Terry's instructions say to leave it. The bluetooth dongle connect to the jb4 where the data cable would connect (serial Port) and a positive and ground lead.

Along with the software you need to buy the jb4 bluetooth dongle.
