340i vs 335i mppk ?
I know the 340i is a different motor setup, but is the 340i's 320hp & 330 trque etx from a software tune similar to mppk, or is is from the motors parts ?
Also , Either car, 335i mppk, or 340i, if we add a tune, does it overwrite the mppk or the 340i's power ? Or does it add to the mppk's power or 340i's power ? Thnks for any input |

From what I've learner ed with the 335 w/ mppk, the jb1 will override the mppk and give you maybe 10-15bhp more than your mppk. Not really worth it in my opinion. It's either you go with one or the other. Although it would be pretty awesome if the jb1 stacked on top of mppk hahaha
I am going to assume same can be said for an mppk on the 340? (is there an mppk for the 340) |

This was not what I was told when I was speaking to someone at burger tuning. They told me that it does not stack and they I would only gain about 10-15 horses as it overrides mppk. Hmm, I better look into this again as I would love for it to be stackable. Last edited by E30toF30; 09-26-2015 at 02:45 PM.. |

I drive my 335i for a while before I got the mppk and there is no way the 20hp only makes the upgrade difference between a 335i without mppk and one with so other things are coded at the same time and not just adding more power.
I have not had the chance yet to try a 340i but I have a feeling that it actually could feel more soft and less dramatic even though it performs equal or better than a 335i mppk. I don't know if you are looking at MT or AT. The AT apparently has a different shifting pattern depending on whether it is the normal or the sports transmission.

I can't imagine that 320/330 will be the highest rating the B58 motor (340i) will get with factory support. I bet there is a 340 mppk that will bump it up.

I have a 340xi and a 2012 335i with mppk package. Yes, the 340 is softer, in regards to gas pedal response. The mppk package allows the engine to rev with less gas pedal for a quicker response.

The gains will not be optimum because the flash map on the car is not designed to work with a piggy it was designed to work on its own. So in conclusion piggy and MPPK stack together but gains are 10-15 whp only. If you are going to get a piggy, skip the MPPK all together
