Best exhaust system under $1500 for 435i?

Hey everyone..

I'm looking for the best exhaust system under $1500 for my 435.. I did a "golf tee" mod so far and it's definitely not loud enough. I want the most aggressive sounding option--I was thinking about the M Perf exhaust but it is definitely not as aggressive as I'd hoped (I can get a deal on it though--about $800 uninstalled). I had a 2012 X535i with a golf tee mod and it sounded like the M Performance exhaust does on the F30s and F32s... so I want something that sounds deep, very aggressive and with little/no drone...What do you guys recommend I get? (keep in mind I want to keep it SUB $1500)

Check dinan out. I believe it is covered under your warranty as well but don't hold me to that.

Ignore that- around 1800.00 for their exhaust system.

Checked them out and I don't feel like the note is worth the $1799 selling price. I would love to go full Armytrix but it's $2880.00 unfortunately.

Program the active sound to play the exhaust note from a M6? Profit.

Another vote for AWE. They make some nice systems.

Keep what you have and just get a downpipe and remove the resonators. That'll be aggressive but might drone. I'm running MPE with DP and zero drone except for the 20 second cold start.

So, no way to modify the existing exhaust, and save $1,400.

What do guys do with the perfectly good stock exhaust you remove..
a) keep it
b) let installer have it
c) sell it

Anyone know how much the stock exhaust weighs? ..does a MPE weigh less?
..stock Audi S4/6 were ~120 lbs, a 3" Stromung was 68 lbs less

AWE without the midpipe (but get it if you can swing it). I have the whole catback on my F30 335i and it's amazing.

You could always do a res delete and put a downpipe on. Significantly less expensive than a brand new exhaust. Or grab a used exhaust that members are selling here.

On my stock before I got Meisterschaft, I did a res delete (~$100). Downpipe will be like $400ish or so?

Borla ATAK will be loud, aggressive and roughly $1k. Also....the 10hp increase is a nice addition as well. I have the Borla S-type on my 335i and LOVE it.

10hp? How much of that is to the wheels? Maybe 1, haha. Catbacks exhausts are for sound. Want performance? Hi-flo cats or cat-less down pipes + a tune.

DP $300, JB4 $500 and then maybe an MPE.

Performance and sound.

I kept my original exhaust so I can swap it back in when I sell the car. No idea what it weighs but surprisingly light, easily handled by one person.

Just installed one of these. Awesome sound, fitment, and quality. Better than anything I've seen. AWE manufactures them in-house in PA--they're not Chinese-made.

My vote goes to CG Precision's exhaust. Perfect fitment, 3.5" piping diameter, able to use valve controller if wanted.

Hey everyone decided to go w the M Perf exhaust. I had it installed yesterday and I think it's actually way better sounding then I expected with. I'll probably be adding a catless downpipe in the near future as well if possible.

Thank you for the support

OP, we carry lots of exhaust for less than $1500
We have the performance exhaust, Active Autowerke, Afe, AWE, Borla, Corsa, Magnaflow, Remus.
The most aggressive out of these options will be Remus. AWE is a very popular choice as well but not as aggressive as Remus.

You wanted "most aggressive" and went with MPE? No doubt you got a nice piece but it won't be very aggressive. Regardless, being happy with the outcome is the key - and sounds like you are a happy camper.
