New Car

Not a Bmw but that doesn't mean I will use this forum any less! I just picked up a 2008 black Range Rover sport. I'm definitely going to miss the sportiness and quickness of my 335 but I'm super excited about the off-road capabilities of the rover!

Love Rover's. Hopefully you don't have big issues with maintenance. I have two friends who have owned them and both said they were nightmares. One had 3 differentials replaced under 100k miles.

Just like JSTANG stated above, rovers are great. However, here's some advice from a range rover sport supercharged owner: buying this car was one of the worst mistakes I've ever done. It's an endless money pit. I've replaced both front and rear differentials twice. Replaced air suspension, and continuous oil leaks. Right now I only use it as a hauler for track events, but that's it. Great cars, poorly made. I'll be trading mine in soon.

On a good note, congrats and enjoy!

Thanks for the comments lol. Yea I was/am worried about maintenance however it has all records from the same dealer everything has been properly fixed when needed and there have been no huge issues reported up until this point. It's not the supercharged model which is a 4.2l its the HSE 4.4 which from what I've researched is a more reliable engine. But I'll just have to see. As of now I love the car. Only owned it for a week though:/

By all means, I'm not trying to be a downer. Rovers are definitely fun and great , thats why its hard to part ways with mine. Enjoy the range with good health and good times.

Nice! I've been looking at a 2009 24k with 60k miles. I've read about the maintenance issues. I'd go with a extended warranty company.

Did you go the carmax warranty route like Doug Demuro?

Congrats! Good cars my mom has one and i drove it all last week when I cracked a rim and my window regulator broke at the same time lol. They also sound amazing esp if you add upgrade the exhaust
only issue with them is the shocks/bag setup can go wrong just have a good indy that can do the work and you should be fine
