First Mods!
Hey guys, first thread for me on here but just a little background. I bought a 2012 335i about 2 months ago and I absolutely love everything about it. I am coming from a 05 Audi S4 which was a blast but this thing is on another level. But, I am ready to pull some more power. I know I am getting the JB4 but want to get one more thing. Trying to keep it under $1,000 (for now ) and I will be ordering more stuff in the future but the car only has 22k miles so I need to keep it easy for now.
Basically, what do you guys think I should go with other than the JB4 to keep it under $1,000ish? Looking at a chargepipe but not sure what kind of power that has or which one to get. Anything you post, if you would not mind posting a link (if you are allowed) I would greatly appreciate it! |

What downpipe did you go with? I am looking at the VRSF but don't know what to go with. Also, if I go with a catless-DP, can I pass emissions with the JB4?

JB4, ER Downpipes and the BMS Intake should get you in and around that number. Charge pipe should be next on the list. Mike |

I got my tune in this weekend and put it on yesterday. Absolutely love it. Ran it on Map 5 for a little bit (10 miles) and it pulls so hard. What map do you guys recommend for someone with just intake and JB4? I do have access to E85 that I would like to run in the future just for fun one weekend, which map would be the best for that?
Will be looking for more parts in the near future but my biggest thing is I have to have it pass inspection. I have had a hassel in the past trying to deal with mechanics passing it and it is too much headache for me. |

I made the same jump a few years ago after owning multiple B6 S4's, Got sick of the maintenance and disappointed after all the go fast parts i dumped into it didn't make much power. Hell of a daily driver and i miss the sound of my straight pipped v8...
That being said, the f30 335i is a beast compared to it... I went AFE 5R intake, JB4 with FF wires and catless ER DP... Loving Map 2! Just do the DP, the install isn't bad, just swap it out before inspection |

I'd get a charge pipe ASAP. Stock pipes have failed running stock boost which is ridiculous.

The BMW DME targets load not boost. Depending on barometric pressure, inlet temperatures, and some other factors, boost can range from 7-10psi for the same normal load target. On top of that the DME will vary its load target based on barometric pressure to make up for pumping losses, trying to keep power level across a wide range of conditions.
