Need some info please CEL with bms intake and MPE

I installed the bms intake on my 2014 f30 335i and I had no cel 2 weeks later I install the MPE. No cel. A couple of days pass now my cel is on any info what's causing it. Also do any of these mods void my warranty? I also want to install a ER downpipe. Thanks in advance.

Read the code but if its a MAF flow too high fault, BMS has a fix in the works.

Mike
It seems to me is that the fix currently is unplugging the MAF, the new OBD firmwares will allow you to run the intake without the MAF without triggering any lights.

Hope there will be a better solution though.

Your intake is the issue. Switch back to stock and clear the code and it won't come back. I had the same issue with 2 different aftermarket intakes

I had same problem with my Injen as well. Would always get a CEL, always got same code 102A01. 3 times I took my car to dealer and they always replaces maf sensor. I never installed the intake again after the 3rd time. To much of a hassle. I was never able to find out why it would kill the Maf sensor either. Strange.

Well I just cleared the code and it hasn't came back on. But I'm expecting it to come back one day. I guess I'll just keep clearing the code. Will clearing the code bring me problems in the future?

Clearing the code won't cause any issues. BMS has a fix for this issue in the works.

Yah I have the BMS intake installed and the car at low rpms seems to hiccup when crusing with a light throttle. Everyone is telling me to change the intake back to stock and it will go away. I will be doing that tonight. I was running map 5 and 2 and switched to map 0 to see if it was the jb4 and wasent so I am almost sure its the intake. I iwsh they had a fix for it as I love the intake but i hate the hiccup its causing.

I disconnected my MAF and boom the car is running like a dream. It may trigger the check engine light for a few seconds then it goes away. I have no more bogging or rough idles or anything. I will keep u posted to it seems to be the fix

The new OBDII firmware takes care of that

The JB4 now comes with an optional OBD connector for the CAN wires which requires a different firmware (OBD firmware)
