Here is a lightly used, complete AP Racing Radi-cal Big Brake Upgrade - Front & Rear, for a 2014+ BMW F80/F82 M3/M4. This is AP’s brand new and vastly improved brake design, utilizing completely new calipers based on their Radi-cal racing caliper line. The result is a caliper with much higher stiffness, lighter weight, and improved pad surface area. This setup is the more track oriented version, featuring 370mm front rotors and 380mm rear. It features smaller, wider front rotors that can absorb lots of heat and fit under smaller wheels. The rear rotors are slightly larger diameter to improve the brake bias by shifting some to the rear. They will fit under the stock 19” wheels and some 18” but we never had a chance to try them on the factory 18” wheels. These were on the car for under 3000 miles, some of which were on the track, where they worked fantastically well and held up to the heat without any fade whatsoever. The J-Hook rotors are in excellent shape with almost no wear and come with a brand new set of the standard kit brake pads installed which work great for both the street and track.

We had these brakes on our shop M4 as part of their development and they are impressive. VERY powerful, with a great solid feel. They also look massive under the wheels and are reasonably light for their size and heat capacity. The reason for switching away from these is brakes is for the car’s intended use, Street Class Global Time Attack, they just were not ideal. Because of the street tire limitation and current limited pad selection for these calipers, they were a bit too powerful for our driver's liking. He simply prefers a firmer pedal with more effort to modulate the brakes so we instead worked with Stoptech to help develop their their M4 kit which better suits our unique requirements with the limited grip of our tires and also gives us a wider brake pad compound selection to fine tune the bite and friction.

This is certainly not a knock against the AP Radical brakes, they are a truly great setup. They are very well built and offer modern motorsport technology and design at an affordable price. Especially as more brake pad companies release pads for this caliper, we expect they will become one of the go-to for track brake setups, offering tons of heat capacity and power, with AP’s legendary quality.

Here is a chance to get an excellent big brake kit that is practically new at a nicely discounted price.

Priced at $3500, shipping available at buyers expense.

Interested in the brakes. Do these have pad sensors? Also you mention the pads. How hard is it to find replacement pads? Any idea on the weight compared to the stock steel brakes?

Thanks,
Michael
