Love the simplicity and the color
What products did you use for the polish?

I used Meguiars PlastX, which by itself I don't really care for but I used it with a porter cable orbital polisher and a blue cutting pad, which really does the trick! I've had to previously wet sand my headlights because they had so much build up, so now I polish once every ~6 months or so just to keep the haze from building again.

Very nice! Even though it's very stock, it's a gorgeous color and wheels are awesome!

Lights look beautiful! Nothing wrong with the stock clean look. More sought after on the used market and less of a money pit.
Nice job! |

Thanks all! I've almost pulled the trigger several times on either a new front bumper/splitter or rear diffuser, but have always held off and now almost take pride in the fact it is stock. I've also been pondering what I want my next car to be for the better part of a year and always wind up acknowledging that this car is exactly what I want.

Great job!
Love those wheels and a clean stock car will always turn heads. If you find the hazing happens often then you can always put a clear 3M Film to prevent it from hazing again. |

I use the Meguiars kit too and my headlights come out looking gorgeous. But I'm kind of tired of doing it ever 4-6 months. I've been mulling over spraying them with clear coat to make it more permanent.
Breathless - What is the 3M film? That sounds interesting. |

Coms in a few different versions. Clear obviously, but also tinted, yellow, blueish. I think i might get the clear and tinted and see if i like the tinted one. As long as its not too dark ill leave it on. If not, ill peel it and put on the clear type to protect the headlights in the future from sun and road debris. http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E92-335...ights/Lamin-X/ EDIT: looks like they also make the same thing for the fog lights and i think rear brake lights. Not sure about the rear lights, but def the fogs. Cool cheap mod. Can either go for a custom look or a clear protective layer. Ive never installed these nor do i know anyone who has personally bought these so i cant really comment on quality, but usually everything ECS sells is good stuff. Maybe do a search on here before you buy to be sure. |

Other than the standard maintenance stuff, the only things I've had to fix were: -Fuel injectors from a few misses/rough/rumbling car/thrown engine code (Covered by CPO) -Electric Water pump (this was the only painful fix....$1300, after CPO expired...then it failed again in 6 months, covered by warranty the 2nd time). Knock on friggin wood but thats been it. There are a few wet spots with oil in the engine supposedly that the dealer says I should consider replacing seals/gaskets (I haven't seen any actual drips on the ground so I'm just watching it), and its had 2 other instances of running rough briefly, with that engine half empty fluid light that gets turned on until you restart the car. Other than that she's still purring. I've noticed the fuel economy is about 1-2 MPG lower than what it used to be though. |

While I've got a thread, here are some of my favorite pics of the car, including some artsy fartsy interior shots (I think I like the interior as much as the outside...I practically lick the thing clean
