We’ll be rolling out detailed power figures and a portfolio of photos in short time. We’d like to whet your appetite more until then:
-The AWE S-FLO Intake incorporates a fully enclosed carbon fiber air box and high flow air filter to maximize power and keep IATs low. Our unique blend of UV stabilized resin and clear coat prevents yellowing from heat. -We’ve proven performance on the AWE Tuning dyno. Yes, there are power gains! -MSRP of the AWE Tuning F3X 335i/435i S-FLO Carbon Intake is $995. |

It's made from CF and costs $995. Why does it have to be CF? It's under the hood, no one sees it (for the most part). It can't weigh that much more if it was made from plastic. It could be made from plastic too, right? |

I know the Dinan one is only CF on the tube, but retails for $595 or something...the circular air element increased SA by a lot too! AWE is pricing pretty high for this...

Some how I would only buy this for looks. Almost all intake manufacturers seems to claim in the 10 hp 10 wht give or take area. While in reality it barely makes that. I find the actual gains are minimal but the sealed intake would hold IATs down but then again do you really want to spend extra 400-500 for slightly lower IATS when you might as well put that toward a legit intercooler that will guarentee lower IATs? Just seems from a utility and pricing perspective kind of out there. Like your barely getting anything other then aesthetics with this intake for what 400 dollars more then the dinan? And I think the Dinan one is already kinda pointless....

While certainly not on the table for most, pairing this with a tune will unlock even greater gains. |
