She should play nice with any tuning device. We have an ESS E-Tronic Tuner on our car currently equipped with our S-FLO and oh, she plays real nice.

Exclamation

We’ll be rolling out detailed power figures and a portfolio of photos in short time. We’d like to whet your appetite more until then:

-The AWE S-FLO Intake incorporates a fully enclosed carbon fiber air box and high flow air filter to maximize power and keep IATs low. Our unique blend of UV stabilized resin and clear coat prevents yellowing from heat.

-We’ve proven performance on the AWE Tuning dyno. Yes, there are power gains!

-MSRP of the AWE Tuning F3X 335i/435i S-FLO Carbon Intake is $995.

I'm sad.

It's made from CF and costs $995. Why does it have to be CF? It's under the hood, no one sees it (for the most part). It can't weigh that much more if it was made from plastic. It could be made from plastic too, right?

I know the Dinan one is only CF on the tube, but retails for $595 or something...the circular air element increased SA by a lot too! AWE is pricing pretty high for this...

The AWE Tuning BMW S-FLO Carbon Fiber Intake launch is entering its final countdown.

A reminder of the benefits:
  • Fully sealed carbon fiber box and filter combinations
  • Featuring AWE Tuning S-FLO Filters specifically designed for the application
  • Increased air filter surface area
  • Impressive gains on every application
  • Perfect integration with OEM inlet ducting
  • Re-using stock mounting locations
  • Bonded aluminum fittings
  • UV stabilized resin and clear coat prevents yellowing from heat
  • Durable, washable S-FLO Filters
  • No Check Engine Light Guarantee
  • Perfect Fitment - Guaranteed
Now, let’s talk about power. The factory intake is very efficient, but there is room for improvement when you increase flow with an exhaust. We crafted a unique fully sealed carbon fiber box and greatly increased filter surface area with our custom S-FLO unit to maximize air flow.

POWER AT THE CRANKSHAFT

Peak power gains are 9 HP and 7 TQ over stock. Maximum power gains are measured at 16 HP @ 6420 rpms and 13 TQ @ 2500 rpms. We repeated these numbers, and the dyno chart is an average of 6 runs.

It won’t be long now. Carbon Fiber Power is about to be unlocked.

More details and notification signs ups, right here.

x2. Bought a set of coilovers from them for my 2004 VW R32 and they were great to deal with. Still have my R32 but its more of my weekend/track/show car now that I'm currently in the process of building.

Would like to hear the sound difference this intake makes. Stock car and just the intake, no exhuast. Will you guys be posting video clips of it soon?

Some how I would only buy this for looks. Almost all intake manufacturers seems to claim in the 10 hp 10 wht give or take area. While in reality it barely makes that. I find the actual gains are minimal but the sealed intake would hold IATs down but then again do you really want to spend extra 400-500 for slightly lower IATS when you might as well put that toward a legit intercooler that will guarentee lower IATs? Just seems from a utility and pricing perspective kind of out there. Like your barely getting anything other then aesthetics with this intake for what 400 dollars more then the dinan? And I think the Dinan one is already kinda pointless....

You could get both the intake and intercooler.

While certainly not on the table for most, pairing this with a tune will unlock even greater gains.
