HELP! Wheel decision
Alright everyone! I can't decide which wheels to put on my aw e92
I research and spends hours deciding between a few and can't seem to come to one solid choice....so please any recommendations appreciated. Option 1) Forgestars f14 SDC - only way I will get these if they are SDC all around. Either go all the way or go home....the front needs modification but I would beat myself up about it everyday if i didn't do it. pros: super aggressive look. cons: heavy modification up front, ride quality decreased, stretched tire dependability...if I get a flat im screwed torn: between gloss black or gloss gunmetal - is black wheels out of style? Option 2) Vossen VFS1 - concave and clean look pros: no modifications needed cons: they're not f14s, pretty much the wheel of choice for the infiniti scene torn: silver or gloss gunmetal Option 3) Linea Corsa 818 - are these out of style? pros: look clean cons: eheh soso torn: silver or black? Option 4) ????? AG359? only thing with the 359s is that they look too plain...I want the neck breaking originality of wheels really standing out... 359s I feel i would get bored with. Anyway... everyone who has had my dilemma...please help... nobodys opinion matters but others who knows my car.... ill add a pic of my car on a separate post...i have to figure out how to minimize the picture file size.... |

The Forgestars are easily the best-looking options IMO

Option 1 or 5.
Rim choice is subjective. Choose what YOU like

Forgestars or some JDM goodness. Work or Rays make really good forged concave wheels.

Go with SDC. Or how about Bc forged wheels? I just ordered hb29 model for me http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/1547/hb29dbsx.jpg ai size 19x9.5 et20 and 19x11 et25 These will be concave. The HB series has other models too and you get to choose specs.

Make sure you buy the wheels like that everyone likes. dont pick the weird looking wheel thinking its "different" or some new brand that came out thinking youre the first one to get it. youre gonna end up selling the uglier wheel because no one else cares about the look of your setup (all sad and butt hurt). dont be that guy, i guess thats why you made this thread lol. with that said the SDC looks the best imo. the vossens are bleh and the other two arent bad just basic.

Firstly. Do what you want. Too many cookie cutter type builds already, and it's no fun if your car looks like everyone else. that's why I'm taking mine a different direction now. But if that's what you like, all you.
Onto my opinion about the choices you provided. I'd say SDCs. They are aggressive, but you shouldn't need too much modification. I'm not experienced in E92's so don't take my word on it, but I have an E90 328 LCI and I didn't have to do any modifications to my front. Granted they rub on the fender liner once in awhile (bigger dips in the road), but I'm also pretty low for my roads. You can also talk to Pat@SonicTuning on here and he can help you out with any questions. He was the one who helped me and also helped me place my order, custom offset and all. I went with the SDCs because, as you said, go big or go home. I didn't like concave in the back and flat up front, so I went SDC all around. But, like stated. It's your car. Do what you want and as long as you're happy with it, nothing else matters. |

IMO the F14 SDC's and the LC818's look the best. Not a fan of the Vossen's. It's a hard decision for me to even decide between both of these great-looking wheels lol! However, if you decide to run the F14's... I would suggest getting 'em in gloss GM like that pic that you posted. If you decide on the LC's, then I'd suggest going with silver. They both look sick in those pics that you posted!
Hope that helps. Good luck on your decision and keep us posted, thanks

Thanks everyone! I feel a connection to the sdc' that I know I'd regret if I didn't get them.
My next question. Is black wheels overplayed? I am 80% sure I'm going with the gloss gm. ....But black goes well with many exterior colors... i.e. if I were to wrap my car a smb or santorini blue..or even switch them out to my (hopefully in the future) next car (m4). so is it weird I'm thinking ahead to my next car to how the wheels would compare? |

F14 SDC have turned into the old VMR cookie cutter crap... After owning two sets of them I can say the quality of them are whatever. I would personally save up for something nicer that you won't get bored with after a month of looking on the forums. They are the best looking option above, but I would just spend a little extra and go for some HRE Flow Form wheels with a unique finish if I were to do it over again.
