I know this is really a question for N54Tech but has anyone removed the flex fuel wiring from the JB4 harness? Either by de-pinning or by cutting the wires and insulating the exposed copper within the split loom.

Reason being, I'm never gonna use the flex fuel (too hard to find) and I just wanna clean up the harness. I know this will kill my resale value but buying another harness is always an option.

I'm over-thinking this, aren't I?

I was told on "the other forum" (BMS) that with the EWG and the flex fuel wiring and my mods, it would be to my advantage to use the flex fuel and the EWG wiring.

The reason for FF wires when using EWG wires is to allow JB4 to control fuelling to keep air:fuel ratio within safe limits.

If running higher boost targets without JB4 controlling fuelling then your car may run too lean in which case either jb4 fail safe will kick in and or DME starts to pull timing and boost or goes into limp mode.

Just wire it even if you are not going to use it.
