HP/TQ Gauges

So I was just casually pressing buttons and becoming familiar with my 435 when I stumbled upon sport settings on my car. They had gauges for horsepower and torque. I was wondering if there was any way I can adjust the scale because it only has it up to 320 hp. Does anyone know how to adjust this? If so that would be awesome!!!

Not sure if they can be adjusted but if not, just grab a P3 gauge.

Are the gauges even accurate? I thought they just display based on throttle position and/or rpm? I'm sure if you tune your car to 380hp, the car wouldn't display the 380 output even if you had the MPPK displays. I could be wrong, but I highly doubt it.

Yeah, it's just a throttle position gauge, novelty gauge. I wish they had added a more useful turbo gauge.

plus 1 here. Rather a useless, stupid feature. Could of given us boost and engine coolant temp instead.

Yea these gauges are useless unfortunately once you go beyond factory. Just got the dinan stage 2 and the gauges show the same power figures as before the tune. Would've been cool if dinan offered a patch that made it more useful/accurate..?

They are not accurate and if you tune with a Piggy the ECU will no know so the gauge will remain the same. Not sure if the MPPK changes anything in that respect but I would think BMW would have reprogrammed the gauge.

I have a f30 328i RWD with dinan software, Dinan exhaust, stage two cold air intake and a Wagner intercooler. My bmw dealer has Dinan staff on hand that work there and they told my that my hp is around 330hp but they do not have a patch or update that will fix the issue of the sport display. Although, they did suggest that it would be possible to program it by changing the settings to show the true numbers but I don't seem to find anyone who knows anything about doing this. They are newer cars so maybe it is just a matter of time till there is a patch or update. Also is anyone aware of a slightly bigger turbo that would be put on the car with out any major modifications? I know that you can get into trouble the bigger you go because you have to make major adjustments but I was told that there is a turbo that is a little bigger and there is no need for major upgrades/changes. Also I am a bmw guy I have 2 f30's both 328i RWD but only one with all the awesome upgrades.

Thanks
Joe
