which header should I choose?

Hi guys
just got my 435 last month.
Mine came with MPPK, however I still find the sound not so satisfying
I heard (if I'm wrong, please correct me) one can simply change the header to make the sound much better?
Since I would like to keep the mp exhaust pipe on the car, so if I can only install the header it would be perfect and save me a lot of money.

if that's the case, what would you recommend?
A friend of mine told me to install an ER for N55, but I don't wanna make hurry decision.

thx a lot

there are no aftermarket headers for our cars, we have a turbofold, turbo and header are all once piece. You can however get a new downpipe, catless or high flow cat, and that will help with sound, and with a jb4 it will give you even more power

I have HFC DP on my car - adds more volume and character to the exhaust w/o droning. Allows high boost on mapped/piggyback enabled cars......

We love all the audibles our Shiftek catless DP gives us and you get to retain the OEM look out the back.

Of course there is the CEL one must deal with with this set-up, JB4 is a must to take full advantage.

I assume you are referring to a downpipes? The ER downpipe is the best one on the market so thats the one I usually recommend.

The downpipes will definitely make the exhaust sound much deeper and throatier. Its a great sound!

Challenge makes one, but i wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire. Terrible company and worst customer service in the world. Not to mention the HFC core melted on my downpipe. I sent it to them for a replacement/refund 6 months ago and I have to get a response from them after multiple emails

A lot of folks have ER downpipes and Ive never read a negative comment about it so thats a good option.

I have CG Precision, they make their own custom catless downpipe that matches up with their exhaust so you can have a true full 3.5" exhaust all the way through without the downpipe creating a slight restriction.

Theres a couple more options out there, so do your research before you pull the trigger.

many sites have combo packs. I bought my ER dp and JB4 tune for about $850 or so. Definitely worth it!

All things being equal, I prefer to replace the metered cat-back exhaust instead of the downpipe, especially if your goal is a better sound. When you replace the cats (or remove them) with all but the best catalytic converters, you're asking for headaches.

For a better sound you can go with aftermarket downpipes or axle back exhaust.
If you are planning on adding a Jb4, get the downpipes. It will get you a sound upgrade and performance gains. Evolution Racewerks DP are the most popular. VRSF is another good option.
If you do not wish to get a JB4, catless downpipes will trigger the CEL light and will not pass emission so grab an axle back instead.
Active Autowerke, Remus are very good options.

You don't need a tune to clear the CEL with downpipes. The BMS CanFlap module can do it. I have a bunch of customers running like that, mostly on the F8X but same principles hold for the F3X

Jb4 will work on top of the MPPK without a problem.
Catless downpipes will give you more power, better sound and with the Jb4 installed no need to worry about the CEL code.
the JB4 + DP combo is a great choice for maximum power.

No smelll with mine, the only smell I ever experienced was when the core melted, it smelled real bad. Then again my car is fully modded so it wont run as lean/rich as your car so it will tend to have a diff smell.

JB4 does work on top of MPPK

Hi Mike
Just notice you are from GTA as well.
So is ER downpipe for 435 ok in toronto? I'm not quite sure about the smog check requirement here(fresh of the boat)

Ya should be good.. You don't need to do an emissions test for 5 years I think

The JB4 will also work over the PPK as the PPOK is pretty mild.
