DINAN Stage II F30 335 Review

WOW! What an improvement in torque and power in all gears. Best $3K you'll ever spend on a 335. Had all the work done at the dealer with a free loaner and zero risk. Consider that ceramic brakes cost $8K and adaptive lighting is almost $2K. This Dinan stuff turns out to be a bargain for what you get. I'm gonna dyno the car when I get a chance.

$3k? Seems a bit steep. Did that include installation?

The guy is now on 384/417. The M3 is on approx 420/405. 3k doesn't seem to be a lot when you consider the HUGE power upgrade.

I am thinking of the DHP suspension tuning but before I do I would need to be 100% certain my BMW warranty for all other items won't be affected

I would definitely go for this, if only it was invisible like the Dinan Stage 2 was on my 2007 335i. Unfortunately it opens up a conversation with my insurer that I really don't want to have.

I believe you have ppk and for us with ppk this is not an option yet. I am good with the 335hp I have, this way if I end up stepping to the M3 I can still enjoy the power bump.

However I can't wait to see OPs test results, 0-60 is about 4.1 would be my guess for this setup

My bad, I was using old info. It's available for those with ppk too.

Haha, I have no info on the C63 other than the lame reviews out there so far, you can never rule out the C63 though. There is still at least 3 years to go for me so who knows

care to elaborate, am not familiar... what makes this one not "invisible"?

This D stage2 is awesome if $3K includes all cost (labor and tax).

I'm curious about this too. Was $3k the total price "out the door?"

Yes $3K was the total installed by my dealer. Includes the Stage 1 kit installed then the Stage 2 software upgrade plus the new CF forced air mod that goes with Stage 2.

As i drive the car more I find that 100 MPH comes up way too fast. You can drive the car in 6th gear on the highway and not even shift to gain ground due to the broad power band. Id recommend this mod to anyone with a 335.

Thanks for sharing! Please post dyno results. My intake is a month out from shipping so I cannot move forward with the stage 2 software yet. Itching to feel the difference.

I just went on Jb Stage 1 and I already got a ticket 2 days later. No thanks to Stage 2.

The wiring harness and Dinan's name splashed over the airbox cover. The N54 stage 2 tune (for my car) was software only.

Which transmission do you have, and how is it handling the new power?

Dinan went with piggy back DME is that it's easier and faster for them to produce the tune than to rewrite the DME. Rewritting the DME will take time to decode BMW's programming. Using the piggy back just gets their product out on the market faster.

I plan on keeping my car for +4 years, so I am no sure how the stage II would affect the engine and drivetrain long term reliability. So I may stick to MPPK, and upgrade the charge pipe to be safe.
