328i to 335i M Sport
Yesterday I became the proud owner of a silver 2011 335i M Sport sedan. It is just night and day compared to my previous black sapphire 2007 328i sedan. It is so much more fun to drive and tons of power. I bought the 328i new and had it for 8 years as a commuter car. It was a great daily driver and didn't have very many problems at all. Was still able and pretty lucky to sell it for a decent price. Had always wanted a 335i with M Sport package and luckily this one was available for sale and with low miles. Was sad while the new owner drove off with the 328i, but was happy to be getting a nice 335i.
For all you 335i owners, I was wondering if anyone knows if the HPFP issue still can happen with the 2011's? I read some other posts that the fuel pump issue only happened with the 2007-2010 models and the 2011 and newer models have the issue corrected? Another question I have is when starting the engine. When I press the start button, I am hearing a couple clicks before the engine starts up. It doesn't happen all the time but once a while. The 335i only has 45K miles. Is this normal startup behavior or should I have it checked out? Whats the best software performance tuner to get for the 2011 models? Thanks in advance!

Nice car!
Fuel pump issues can still happen with 2011s (especially the early builds), but they are few and far between. Nowhere near as common as the n54s. |

Nice!
I hate the lack of power and torque sometimes in the 328, especially on the highway but I think it makes a great daily. No doubt the 335 does everything better and is more fun though. Enjoy! |

LCI M sport FTW. Nice upgrade there, mate.
The difference in power and torque is immense between the NA and turbo I6's for sure. Although the revving lust of the naturally aspirated engines is something I will miss. |

So far its a blast to drive it. But the only thing that sucks which is missing is the Bluetooth wire-less for making phone calls. I was surprised that this 335i did not have this included. I am now looking into getting bluetooth installed from the dealer. hopefully it wont be very expensive.
