Here's a video of my track day yesterday, Thunderhill WEST (2 mile, more technical, lower speed).

Last month when I ran Thunderhill East (3 mile, higher speed) my car went into limp mode.

For this event I put in fresh oil, did a partial coolant flush and ran without an engine cowl. With the distilled water I noticed the temps dropped a lot faster. No limp mode for this event. It could be that fact that it was a lower speed track. Ambient temps were the same.

BTW, the Schroth Quick Fit Pro harness worked great! No more sliding around and using my knee to brace myself. I highly recommend it.

Yup, so far so good. Could be the low speed track though. I'm heading to Laguna Seca in June so I'll see how it goes.

I did leguna 2 years ago in my 335i 6mt. Completely stock engine and it'd limp after 25 or 30 minutes.

Gotta mod the driver just like you mod the car. It's expensive but definitely worth it and so much fun.

Research different organizations in your area. There's 4 different organizations in my area and only 1 that offers very competitive prices.
