Angel Eyes Question
New BMW owner here! Ive wanted a 328i since I was 16, now many, many years later I have purchased a 2011 328i X-Drive! Love this car to death! As I am learning more about it everyday, One question I cannot find an answer to is on the Angel Eye lights. They are the factory bulb I believe, I'm looking to upgrade them to a brighter light, but I am wondering if it is possible to have them on without the parking lights burning on each side. I see BMW's everyday that have them lit up alone, but cant figure out how to make that happen on this model or if it is even possible on this year. If anyone could give me some guidance here on that and possibly recommend a brighter light/LED to install that would be great!

As I recall, the 2011 E9x cars with Xenons already had LED illuminators for the halo rings. They can be set as "Daytime Running Lights" using your turn-signal stalk buttons/switch or iDrive if your car has it. They are brighter when used as DRLs and then dim a little when the Xenons are turned on, but you can code them to be the same brightness as when they're on by themselves.
Also, 2011 is E9x chassis - this forum is for F3x (2012+) 3-series chassis. You might try asking the question in the E90 section, as the F3x is quite different from the E9x cars.
