Dynavin MOST Fiber Optic Audio Adapter

Any of the experts here think that it could be possible to just purchase the MOST adapter (http://www.jandtdistributing.com/products/n6-most) and work with the pinouts to attempt to use a different head unit? I assume the wiring harness used from this to the Dynavin N6 is pretty standard given the head unit works with both the Hi-Fi system and the Logic 7 (using the aforementioned adapter). I would prefer a more feature-rich head unit and would gladly pay $100 for the fiber adapter.

I have a professional installer that is willing to try the install, just need to know how 'proprietary' this adapter is an whether or not it would be possible to use with another aftermarket head unit.

If anyone has a suggestion on how to install a pioneer head unit (AVH-4100NEX) and retain use of the logic 7 amp and speaker system, please please let me know. I have a 2008 335xi with the logic 7 system.

no, they are part of the dynavins wire harness and are not intended to be or set up to be used or sold separately.
