All,

I had an opportunity to test out and keep an AWE exhaust, so I'm going to sell my Akra. You know I can't resist playing with something new. I bought the Akra from another member in Cali. He said he had about 300 miles on the exhaust. He has a solid reputation on the forum. I hope I have a similar rep and assure you the exhaust is in very good condition.

This is the Full Titanium Evolution version with Carbon Fiber Tips not including downpipes. Includes: center section(mid-pipe) with resonator, valved rear section, double walled carbon/titanium tips, and all hardware. I have the boxes and manuals as well.

I'm opening this up to ship. I put in a half-way effort at selling it locally, but I haven't had anyone commit. I'm getting tired of the giant boxes sitting in my garage, so I'm going to actually put in an effort to sell it.

I actually really like the exhaust. I prefer it with the valves disconnected, but it obviously works well either way. In full disclosure, I was a little reluctant to test the new exhaust I'm getting because I already like this one so much. I'm confident pretty much anyone that buys this will like it.

Here's the deal. I bought the exhaust pretty inexpensively. I paid $5,431 with shipping and fees. I'd like to get my money back on it.

So I'm selling for $5,400

We need to figure out the shipping costs because it has to be shipped freight.

I removed the exhaust. It looks really good. Here is what it looked like dirty, straight from the car.

I gave is a good soaking of Adam's Detail Spray and wiped it down.

WD-40 and Titanium are a match made in heaven.

Does the manly awesomeness of cleaning up an Akra exhaust in the garage offset me catching up on The Bachelor????

After WD-40

There are a few scratches from pressing against the heat shielding under the car. I don't have a lift, so I have to hold the mid section up with my knee while squeezed under the car. This is the casualty. I'm guessing it won't effect performance and you won't be able to see it since it's on the top side.

This thing cleans up nicely.

I forgot to take dirty photos.

This thing really is a piece of art. I'm not sure I'd pay $7,000 for one, but it is certainly a cool thing to have. The only reason I'm selling it is to try out the AWE, which I also love. If you need more photos, just let me know.

The cost difference between this and the AWE aside. Which exhaust Sounds better?
Which exhaust looks better? (I'm thinking the akra wins the looks contest hands down)

They are very close. The Akra is actually has a little deeper tone at lower RPMs. I favor the AWE due to having a little less fart dump when shifting gears at higher RPMs. Some people like that crack, but I don't.

You're right though, build quality is not even close. The tips are also way nicer. I really like the AWE, but the Akra still probably has an edge. It's just not a $3,000 edge. Luckily for someone, I'm selling the Akra for much less.
