So my pops just stopped by this morning with his brand new toy, 2015 stingray vette..! He drove it off the lot brand new, and he just ordered the Corsa Extreme exhaust setup for it about 5 hours later lol.. The dealer said wait until the motor hits 500 miles before swapping out anything, does that sound legit??? I know some of you guys are into domestic v8's so you may have some insight on this but anyways, just thought I'd show a lil teaser of the father/son duo lol..

My old man used to race semi-professionally, has owned two NSX's and a number of other "performance" cars and now drives a VW Beetle.... Oh how the mighty have fallen

Thanks guys, yeah I love it too..! The torque in that thing is amazing, and I've heard it adapts very well to bolt on's much like our cars do.. He has a 68' Ford Torino GT Fastback with the factory 390 big block in his garage with about 27k miles on it.. He starts it and drives around the block every now and then lol, so he figured it was time to get something with a big motor that he can actually take out of the neighborhood I guess haha..!

Thanks guys I appreciate it! Yeah my pops is pretty cool, my uncles coming down in a few weeks with a rolling chassis chopper frame that him and my dad are going to be building.. I'll post some pics of that once they get some progress goin..!!

And it's red/tan btw, I told him get red/black but the salesman sold him on "this is more rare of a color combo" lol.. I almost had him in a blue hardtop but we live in SW FLA and he's been dying to ride with the top down haha..!

We don't live near each other but the next time I see my dad I'll take some more pics! The interior is so cleannn, it looks like a cockpit with everything geared around the driver lol..

Thanks brother! Yeah I think he's taking it to get put on once the exhaust gets here.. My aunt lives in Orlando and she wants to see it so maybe he'll take a trip there this weekend and hit that 500 mile mark anyways haha.. My sister bought a 2015 M5 brand new, and I remember the BMW dealer told her that she had to come back every 1500 miles or something when she first got it and they said they'd unlock certain features for her lol.. They also said there's some class up in GA or SC or something that will teach her how to drive and handle it properly, so I didn't know if Chevy offered something similar for the vette's and maybe that's why they told my dad that..

nobody offered me any cool classes when I bought my 09 335i in November, wahhh!! hahaha

Yeah I took it for a spin the other night, it definitely is a beast.. My dad's a horsepower guy so I'm sure it won't stay stock for long even tho he claims "it's perfect, I'm not touching it" haha we'll see..!!

I hear ya. My dad talks about the old "muscle car days" when he had his Mach 1 with a beefed up 351 Cleveland and Cragar Mags with Mickey Thompsons. Now he drives a 94 Silverado he bought in 95. Sad.
