Coding in Colorado?

Anyone know where I could get some coding done in Colorado Springs or Denver? Thanks.

Very nice thank you. Does he do this on the side or at the dealership? Can you PM his last name?

Just bought a M4. Waiting for my 1200 mile service before I code. Bought a cable on ebay. Anyone have experience with coding in the Denver area?

I gave up on trying to find someone. Bought the cable and will give it a go myself.

I'll probably do the same. Let me know how it goes and if you have any tips. I can do the same once I start mine. First I need to find a Windows Machine. I just use Mac's.

Funny, I'm in the same situation being a mac user. I had to pull an old windows laptop out of mothballs. I'll let you know how it goes. Probably going to try this weekend.

I have a cable and a windows machine to do it. However, I have not downloaded the software or taken the time to learn how to do it.

I've had multiple vehicles coded by Okee at Codemycar.com when I lived in Maryland. He also does remote coding and I recently had him change a few things on my M4 via remote coding. He launches a VM on your computer(might even be able to do Mac) and does the coding that way. Just another option if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself. I would do it if I had someone to tutor me, but am hesitant to do it on my own.

Thanks, I may go that route. I've looked at the instructions and feel fairly confident I can do it, but maybe if I watch Okee do it I may learn from that. Depends on how much he charges too. I've seen prices as high as $100/session.

When I had my 335 there was a guy who coded for free. BazookaJoe or something was his name

Finished my coding. Really pretty easy, just follow the advice in this thread http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1125375 and you should have no trouble.

Nice. Thanks. What did you end up coding?

I have my car in the shop having KW HAS and spacers being installed. Still have about 700 miles before 1200.

- ASD off
- Nav disclaimers off
- seatbelt warning chime off
- speed lock for owners manual and Bluetooth pairing off
- Euro MDM
- Amber side markers off
- A/C remembers last setting
- MMI off with door opening
- Break force flashing

I think that's all. Took about an hour I'd guess.

sleepy75, do you have a cheat sheet with the coding values? I've found a couple online, but some seem to be contradicting each other. I think I'll try it in the next few weeks.

Has anyone coded that is close to Denver that would consider helping me? I just wanted to do a few things like Euro LED, side markers on lock, nav disclaimers off etc. I only have a Mac and am hesitant to code myself anyway.

I finally got around to coding my car a few months ago. it was a little nerve wracking for sure. But after I got the hang of it I was flying through it. But I didn't want to f'up my car. I could give you some tips and guidance if you'd like. Do you have a cable? I am a mac user too, but brought home a Windows laptop from work to ensure it'll work. I heard you can use Fusion or Parallels w/ in the Mac too. Have not tried that though.

In the above posts there are some helpful links and videos. I did backup the files before I started coding too. Printed out the steps and the cheat sheet for the stuff I wanted to code.

Thanks for the info. How many hours did you put into it from start to finish? I spoke to Codemycar.com and they can do it remotely for under $200 which includes the cable and unlimited about of things to code. It seems reasonable to me and I'm thinking of just doing that in one shot.

2 hours, but the first hour was spent backing up my files and debugging why computer wasn't reading the values (had to move the clock 4 days...don't ask, but I read it somewhere that it fixes the issue). Then once I got the hang of it everything went fast.

I was going to go the route of codemycar.com, but I was afraid if I ever updated the software all my coding would be wiped out. Plus I like knowing I can always go in myself and change things if I wanted to.
