Red face the highlight of my year

all 24 days of it lol
so i was leaving the movie theater this afternoon and as im waiting to make a left turn i see this e92 cruising towards me, and im thinking, "i wonder if its a 335 or a 328" (cause im weird and like to bet which one, lol). so anyway its raining significantly, and i didnt catch a good look at the front, but when its profile passes me, i notice this strange bump on the hood. now im thinking, WTF WAS THAT?! so i double take, and its a test mule m3. now i know that may not sound exciting because weve all seen spy shots, videos, owner pictures, etc, but this was my first time seeing it on the road, let alone IRL.

as soon it was clear, i made the left and tried to get close. i was a couple cars behind, but next to me was a 1er hatch so it was still pretty cool. when i got next to the mule m3, i stuck my arm in out in the rain and took pictures. when the driver looked to his right he smiled (i think haha) and revved that glorious v8. as soon as he did i gave him the biggest thumbs up i think ive ever given in the history of thumb ups.

i wouldve taken more pictures, but it was raining and i had to keep traffic flowing, and my stupid cell phone didnt save a few of them

and the other day i was stopped next to this gorgeous alpina b7 and i asked the driver to roll down his window so i could tell him how awesome he was sorry for the drawn-out rant / kinda repost / but what can i say, im a fan-boy and i got really excited

I think I saw that exact car twice in Hollywood. Even talked to the guy! I was so excited too, I had the same reaction.

'Oh cool, a black coupe.'
'Hm...that's interesting...Quads...'
'Wait, the badge is duct taped...'
'WTF.....HOOLLY SHHHHHHIT!! It's an M3!!! '

I thought the exhaust sounded raspier than videos. What an amazing car.

I saw the M3 test mule twice. Once in Northridge and the other on Las Vegas Blvd stuck in traffic. I'm surprised they're still testing this late in.

yup, that's him... my folks live up in porter ranch... blond long hair glasses?? and yeah, he's super friendly... he keeps telling me about all the people who talk to him about his car, to be honest, he doesn't even understand what exactly it is he's driving... he just gets a new 7 series every two years, lol... what's worse is when moms drives the car... she keeps telling me that guys will come and check the car out and try to talk to her about it, lmao... ahh, gotta luv the 'rents...

i just called my mom and told her people keep writing about seeing the car and she's still in shock... she thinks it's a weird car... dad ain't home yet she said she'll have him call me when he does...

Hey jh valley. Great timing.

Remember the 15776 DST license plate number. Whenever I see that license plate, I know it's a mule.

The M3 mule is still out. Just saw it last week in Calabasas on Parkway Calabasas near the Promenade. They probably still use it because it's a fun car to drive and great to take out during lunch or on a leisure drive. Gosh, what I would do to work at the Design Center in Newbury Park...
