Hi,

I'm new to forum, so go easy on me I just called my bmw dealer to have dynamic handling package added on my 2013 335i xdrive msport and i was told that it CANNOT be added. is that true? anyone have experience with this?

I asked them about Dinan and the suspension kit from dinan would be 8 hours of labor and aliment so labor alone is about $1600. (manhattans bmws hourly labor is about 160). does 8 hours sound a bit much for putting springs and struts.

if i can not put dynamic handling, what would you guys recommend? I like dinan because it lowers it by 20mm which is the max i would want to lower it. m performance is a bit pricey at 1800.

It cannot be added. There are computers and sensors and shocks and coding and all sorts of other things.

Okay, in reality ANYTHING can be done.

But dealers aren't trained in everything, and this is probably one of them, seeing as it's a complex request. You can't request they update your iDrive from non-Nav to Nav, for example. Some things are just so computerized/electronic that it's likely a major headache for dealers.

Yeah it can be done but it will cost more then if you got the car with it by a long shot.

The Dinan stuff is just springs and bumpstops. E46Keith can install them for you for a couple hundred most likely. BMW quotes that ridiculous price because they go by stupid amount of time Dinan lists to install it on a book plus alignment.

If you want adjustability take a look at KW EDC unit that comes with optional iPhone app to change settings wirelessly. Very cool!!

Have you looked at the wiring in these cars? This can't be done without rewiring 3/4 of the car, so just consider it impossible. He's complaining about 8 hours, what would 100 hours or more do to him?

+1 for Keith, $150 flat price lol. He did my old E92's KW coilovers.

Not really complaining about 8 hours. It just sounded a bit too long to replace springs and struts.

Surprisingly my BMW dealer was willing to work with me on the price for the Dinan coil and bump stop install. Dealers do have competition and my sense is that a 20% discount can be had on most things even some Dinan parts.
