X-Band Use on NJ Anymore?

According to a number of web sites, NJ still uses x-band for speed detection. However, after using the valentine 1 for the last six months in Northern NJ, I haven't noticed any using it. But its a PITA in my area, as there are a lot of signs that read and post your speed that use the x-band, so its always going off. I've decided to turn off x and k band for now. Just wanted to see if anyone has run into it being used recently and where. The last post I saw mentioning it after a brief search was from 2012 and it talked about it being used in Southern NJ.
Thanks.

I'm down in Ocean/Monmouth County and keep it on with the V1 don't really pay attention to what they're using though. I did get the savvy to hardwire it into the car and it lets you set the speed at which the V1 goes off which makes dealing with those signs that have your speed a little more bearable (I keep it set at 40). It seems like there are a lot of them popping up.

I just upgraded and keep them all on. I picked up a passport GPS enabled detector and listen to everything. Odds of it being a cop are much higher but I still have false alarms from other cars and the odd one here and there. My radar learns the frequency and after 3 alerts at the same gps coordinates it ignores them. Highly reccommend it

Yes, definitely been hit with X-band in NJ.
It's usually X (older guns) or Ka (new ones), rarely if ever K.

If false signals really bother you, beware of Audi blind spot detection radars spewing Ka. They take the cake for me ...

Most are Ka but I encountered both X-band and K-band in North NJ just yesterday, spotted both of them. (no false alerts). Leave all bands on.

The Waze app does well usually. Not sure if everyone here uses it but it's a great way of flagging cops for others and for knowing where the speed traps area ahead of you.

I drive in NJ all the time with radar. Never see cop with x or k. Only Ka and laser. Mostly Ka.

I have a Redline segmented with Ka bands (i turned some off and left some on) for optimal performance in NYC/NJ. I have yet to get hit by X, but I dont know if i left it on or not gonna check tomorrow.

FYI, once I was getting just K at night coming out of the movies in long island when I see a dark cop car pulling next to me on the light (no siren lights on his roof). As soon as he drove away, the K was gone.

So I listen to all bands in a different manner but be sure to know cops are slick. I've gotten a few Instant-On, meaning they have the gun off but as soon as you passing or getting close they turn it on and clock you boom!

Escort Redline has paid itself over and over and over!

I've driven the last 3 months with the x and k band off and I am happy with that arrangement. I usually only drive northern NJ, NY and VT. In the end, the V1 is only a back up for waze which usually captures 80%+ of the risk on the highways.

I have a Escort Redline and paired up bluetooth to my Escort Live App which reports even more than what Waze hasn't caught. What I catch in Escort Live gets reported immediately to Escort Cloud and also goes into Waze.

There's been a few occasions where I've caught Ka and Waze has no idea yet.

I have redline also, best detector especially with bands segmentation. Does live app really make a difference? Should I use live?

Live app is amazing, it's shows how many feet the Live cop alert is at, it also lets u lock mute etc certain spots, and while driving I keep it in the background or foreground along with Waze... It really makes the experience better
