Coding Speed Limit Info (8TH)

My M235i came with speed limit info and I figured it's most likely just software to enable on my buddies 435i. He as well has Lane Departure Warning and Collission Detection like my M235i.

I edited the FA to add 8TH and VO coded KAFAS2, FEMBODY, HU_NBT AND KOMI as I figured those were the potential ECUs it may effect.

The option is now available in iDrive and it shows the 3 dashed lines as it does before it reads any speed signs... but nothing ever gets detected and displayed in the instrument cluster or HUD.

I did a bit of googling and read that an FSC code may be required.

Is there a way to generate and install the FSC code via Esys? I remember reading something about generating an FSC code for nav updates... but have never done it.

Are there any other ECUs that need to be VO coded for this to work?

Is there any way to find out either of these answers given that my car has this feature from the factory?

use the ncd / cafd tool http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=749668

and select SVT - cafd, load your svt and then select 8th it will show all the ecus affected....

for my car were but i don't have the KAFAS camera so if you do it against your svt it might have additional stuff

Nice tool, thanks for the link. I got lucky and guessed the right 4 ECUs. I guess an FSC code is definitely required. Any hints on that side of things?

FYI, this is what was returned for an F20 chassis with a November 2014 build....

can this be done on a F46 uk model

just read this and it looks great .
can this be done in my 2016 gran tourer F46 which has got
1) navigation plus package (ZNQ)
2)technology pack (ZOJ)
3)driver comfort package(ZOJ)
ive got the HUD but it doesnt show the max speed limit ,it will show the collision warning with a red car when you approach are stopping car ,i assume it has got the front camera which is needed for the display of the speed limit .
thanks

Sure, your back up camera is able to detect the signs, however you always have to drive backwards
