M4 ARMA cold air intake under developing

I just got my M4 last week from BMW dealership, and my big mouth friend told people in ARMA about this. So whole bunch ARMA crew came to me and want my M4 for new product development….I was not really want to do that, but ARMA told me they will give me one this product for FREE(of course), and also do the dyno test before/after installation. That sounds pretty attractive, so….

Yes, they took all my intake system apart. For god sake, if I know that would happen, I wouldn’t let them do it. I guess I can only pray the final product must be nice and good. Otherwise, I am gonna give them a BIG BAD review in here.

Keep us posted. I don't think we'll get much gains with just an intake on this car, but we'll see.

BMS tested open airboxes at 25psi. No gains vs. stock. Unless you want sound spend your money elsewhere.

ARMA came to do the car fitment with their RP.....

however, the first fitment did not go well, they told me there still some place need to fix. they told me this is normal for new product development, is that true?

I start to wonder how long would they talk to complete this task.

Anyway, they are coming next week, I hope next time would be "OK"

I was kinda thinking the same thing. This ain't American iron from the 80s. Maybe you'll hear the turbos better. Factory engineers aren't so slack as to leave HP on the table anymore. More efficient engines require a lot more attention to the details.

I have to speak for that. No offense, please accept my apology first.

All performance air intake modification are asking for better HP output(arma, aem, injen...)they basic change the air filter to increase air inflow.

when increasing air inflow, it makes engine work harder. that is what OEM engineer cannot do so.

i am expecting more performance intake product release, so we can have more choices other than OEM.

ugh... yeah.

I see the care to not scratch the front bumper why not tape off the CF brace. That looks like an accident waiting to happen.

Just check it, everything looking still good.
when fitting, they were pretty careful. M4 is very expensive here, almost double price than in US. I think that is the reason they are very careful.

Why M4 is so expensive? because the import tax......it's a government rob

Looking forward to see how many people buy a "cold air" intake. Then argue until they are blue in the face that it's giving them a 5% power increase even when proven wrong with factual information.

That's factually incorrect.
