M4 vs. Anything else for $110,000
Hey the title says M4 vs. $110,000 you read it right!
My Net Sales Price is $83,786.04 for the M4. I very lucky (really lucky) managed to turn $25,000 to an undisclosed amount... trading on the stock market to buy the M4 out right and I really didn't plan on modifying the M4 but I am sure it will go like the last car I had and it starts with exhaust, intake, exterior mods and the list goes on! BOOM!! I get the bug and next thing I know I have thrown 25K+ in extras including installation and I have 500HP and 615 TQ on Methanol at the wheel and well that was the last car I had. Moving on! I have 30 days and counting down to Performance Delivery (9/10/2014) and I check the forum and YouTube every day and then some..I see what Clarkson, Harris and others have to say as well as you guys and gals as well!! I getting pumped about it and even my 3 year old now points out blue BMWs all the time. So what I mean about M4 vs. anything else for $110,000 is the remaining $26,213.96 would be mods, track days and iND magical exterior mods. What can you buy for $110,000 on ebay or cars.com? Cars such as these wouldn't need modding...in my opinion. All vs. the M4 1. 2014 Nissan GT-R Black Edition.......sub 3.0 0 -60 mph, driven on the track, its heavy, brake pads would be expensive 2. 2014 Porsche 911 Carrera S..my second choice after the M4 however its 400 hp compared to 436HP to the M4 and if you get the Carrera S with the Power Package it $17,000 more for 430 hp then you are close to my dream car see #10 3. Used 2005 Ferrari F430 Berlinetta F1 $108,539....Bling....in Rosso Corsa with Tan interior..Whats my APR %? 4. Used 2013 Aston Martin V8 Vantage....M4 would be faster but still an Aston 5. Used 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S....fast as the GTR but lighter 6. Used 2012 Audi R8 4.2 quattro....driven one on a track under steer sucks but it looks amazing 7. Used 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo....damn it I'm too tall and can't fit well. 8. Used 2004 Lamborghini Murcielago @ $124,000....that would be baller and it wouldn't fit in the garage with my wife's car 9. Used 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia Base...cheapest on in the country @$124,997 used and abused...Drive it for a year then get rid of it 10. 2014.5/2015 Porsche 911 GT3...I was on the build list for this car but they had to had engine fires which really messed everything up. My build was literally bare bones for $140,000. My wife would have killed me for sure but it would be worth it as it would match the poster on the wall. On the flip side I know the M4 is perfect as this is what I built for the first time I get to tick the box..Yas Marina Blue and Silverstone Interior and other ticked boxes in between. I will break it in and enjoy the power and the drive(s) and maybe in early 2015 as all the performance parts should be in then I would start the mods........SHIT...... who am I kidding I have the wheels already before the car and everytime I check the forum something gets added to my list like the most recently the BMW Carbon Spoiler. Comments, Concerns I don't do stock tips anymore...ugh gold and silver ugh. |

I like your assessment.. idk for me personally, if I could afford it right now, I'd go 991 7mt c2s. I'm just not there financially yet, especially while house hunting with my gf. But the m3/m4 really is a compelling package!! You get A TON for the money. Is it the fastest, prettiest, most practical or most luxurious? No, but it touches all those points better than any one car on that list which I love! Great community, too love going to bimmerfest and visiting the forums.

Garage List 2016 Porsche GT4 [0.00]

This one w/o a doubt, or invest for another year and have enough for the 991 GT3RS when it arrives in late 2015. That's my plan, we'll both need new wives.

Wait for Porsche to get its #$* together and get the 911 gt3...seriously everyone rants and raves how that thing is in a whole other league....if price isn't an obstacle that is.

I would be all over the 2011 458 Italia for 125K... but I've checked, and it would appear that you would be lucky to get a 2010 458 for less than 210K. Let us in on your source!!
But for a DD with a manual transmission, and room for the kids, it's hard to beat the M3. |

I waited for my gt3 through the whole engine problems for over 4 months. Take into account the 6 months Initial delivery delay and from the date of order I've been waiting for this car for around a 1.5 years. was it worth it?
every single second. It is in another league for the price |

Reinvest the 26k conservatively, buy your M4 which is a hell of a car, and as you potentially make profits buy your mods. Most logical solution unless you truly do believe your trade was "lucky." Although I entirely understand any hesitation on buying at the top of a five-year Bull.

You missed the point... He turned 25k into an undisclosed amount, which judging by the post probably yielded something in the neighborhood of the above noted.

If you don't need the backseats I would get every car on that list minus the gtr over the M4. If you can afford the maintenance on the 458 go for that otherwise gT3 all the way.

OP- If you want to keep your budget of 110k I say Carrera S. Something that can't be over looked is the weight differences between its 400hp to the M4 425hp. M4 weighs over 200kg more than the Carrera S. However, if you can afford the GT3 I think it is a no brainer. Go GT3. |

This car list doesn't make sense to me. WHAT DO YOU WANT?
Do you want a brand new car with no maintenance/warranty headaches that is a daily driver you can take to the track? M3/M4. Do you want a track car that you can do some street driving in, is otherwise very impractical - and that you would plan on keeping for a number of years? GT3 Do you want a dual track/daily driver with a bit of sacrifices for both, that's gorgeous, and is rock solid reliable? 911s, new or slightly used Do you want a gorgeous car that you will most likely sell in 1-2 years, isn't really a track machine or suited for daily driving, and will be a headache out of warranty? All the rest. ... This is just a random list of "I have alot of money and I like all these cars" until you actually define what you want. |
