Don't think I'll ever be a fan of the color.

They have a few individual colors, some of which i really like, for example tanzanite blue or frozen brilliant white.

Here is a shot from Japanese brochure:

Sorry fellas, but I absolutely friggin love this color. With a car like this, it deserves a "loud" color.

I don't mind the color, but I wouldn't get one for myself in that color.

the photoshop or filter applied to the first photo is pretty bad. the shadow under the car looks like it doesn't belong. Id like to just see what the car and color looks like without the over work.

Interestingly, no HDR, but similar enhancements using Lightroom

Still experimenting with filters, but thanks for the feedback.

In my excuse, shooting conditions in Tokyo are less than ideal, and I had to shoot this this car under direct sunlight. Unless taking multiple exposures and/or use strobes the car will not come out good. I used Adobe Light-room brush and gradient filters as well as color luminance adjustment to enhance the car against the background and reduce over or under exposed parts.

Going forward I will be leaning towards attempts to make shots look natural (and I have perfect photo-shoot coming up for that), but in general, Japan doesn't supply you a whole lot of pretty back drops to shoot cars against.
