Hi,

My m8 is looking for a cheap car to use for about 1-2 years max. Thought i would ask here if anyone might have something for sale is.

Only requirements are:

Well maintained, fault free.
Not a big engine in order to keep fuel and insurance costs down.
Preferably a reliable brand.

Mileage is not really a concern as long as the car has been well maintained. He wants to keep his running costs as low as possible.

Max budget is £1500.

Been looking at 2002 1.4 Toyota Corola, 1.6 Seat Leon etc to give you an idea the kind of car he is after.

Might not be the exact kinda car you had in mind but my dad's selling his 55 plate skoda octavia in a few weeks
1.9 tdi pd engine
over 200k miles on it now csnt remember off top of my head but he's maintained it throughout him owning it (for last 100k miles!) and it's never missed a beat

Plus he gets some stupid fuel economy from it (he uses it for a cab) , and it's insurance group is quite low for what it is

If your mate still wants some info on it I can get it from my dad plus I'm sure he's looking for below 1500 for it
