Not a BMW story I'm afraid, but years ago I had a 1976 Mustang II - probably one of the worst excuses for a car to come from Detroit (but that's another story). It was an auto, and one day I parked it at work and left it in neutral instead of park. As I was walking away I heard a shout, turned around and saw my car rolling slowly across the parking lot towards another parked car, and the poor guy who's car it was about to smash into trying vainly to stop it, but to no avail. Luckily it was only a very slight incline and a low speed impact so no real damage done, but I was certainly quite embarrassed!

One time, I forgot my traction control and stability control were disabled. Spooled mid turn, hit a fire hydrant. Coilovers + high curbs = new car.

4months in. Hmmmm... Turned too wide too early backing out of a parking spot at work next to a curb. Rashed up my front passenger wheel.

Was acting like a total dbag and spun the car out taking a corner to fast and almost hit a car. To this day I'll never act like that again. Sometimes you learn the hard way and I almost did.

In my e30 325is, I took an offramp curve too hot, and it had just rained overnight. I spun out, but did not hit anything or anyone. Luckily it was 3:30 in the morning, so there was hardly any traffic. Since doing a 20-point turn to straighten myself out on a narrow ramp would take forever, I cranked the steering wheel and nailed the gas to swing it around.
Raised my heartbeat, that's for sure. That following weekend I found an empty parking lot by my house and got a better feel and read of the car's dynamics and behavior. It was an easy car to drive fast, and to this day, I miss it dearly. |

It took me a while to realize that you can inflate/deflate the side bolsters on the sport seats. Granted that was quite a while ago but still.

Ran over a milk jug in the middle of the road with my mtech bumper that was only on for 2 days, luckily nothing happened. ( In my defense, I couldn't avoid it as there were cars coming from the other side and the street was tight.) :

When I was 7, my dad just bought an e30. Of course when he wasn't looking I got in the car, released the ebrake and the car rolled down the driveway unto my neighbors lawn across the street.

I remember the look on my dad's face when he ran out. It was a mixture of worrying and intense anger. We locked eyes and I was never more terrified in my life. I literally jumped out the car and ran away to one of my neighbors. lol.
