F8X...E92...is it me or??

So over the years I have owned 325 (06), 335 (07) & now X5 (2012) but I have always been a M3 admirer & this year I finally decided to get an m3..

I have not driven any m3 from e46 to f8x so I really don't have anything to compare it to...well today I went to the dealer just to see the car cause I am still debating about m3 or m4 so I tght will just go & look as I am in no rush...there was 2013 aw e92 m3 & right behind was 2015 m3 so I went straight to f80 & opened the door & sat in it...fell in love with the car...everything felt so good & within reach and felt really upscale ...then I came out & walked around...one thing for sure the curves on this car beat scarlet Johansson...they are just beautiful...specially the rear end is just awesome....after admiring it for sometime I went to the e92 m3 & opened the door & sat in it...it's exactly like my 335i e92 with a little more class & expensive feel but I must admit I felt in love with e92 all over again...something about the interior of the car was just beautiful ....don't know it's just me but it felt so tight & good...the steering felt think & strong, the seats felt more adjustable & sitting just at just the right angle...don't know but I loved sitting inside e92.

I have not driven either so I can't really compare but I am just telling u guys how I felt sitting inside it....is it just me or any of u guys felt the same way???

Both are clearly great cars, if that's what you're saying.

I'm no guy, but I almost cry every time I see an E92 on the road. That is the car I wanted. That is the car I really, really love, that is the one that would have kept me from going insane here.

now, I have F82 in order, and all I can say about that is that I hope someday it means as much to me memory wise as the beauty known in my head as Rakkaus (translation would be Love in some form) was for me looks wise. I'll grow up some day, but till then all I can say is that some cars just stick. I have now two of them that I will always regret not getting.

I love the spartan interior of my e92 m3.. Ever since I drove my buddy's e60 5 series a while back I was enamored with the E platform interior (weird I know). The M4 I drove didn't have full leather (a must-have IMO) but the layout, seats and carbon fiber pieces were very nice; it feels bigger though which I'm still getting used to. It's nice but like with anything new, it will take some time to warm up more to it.. both are great cars

That's sayin' something, buddy. Perhaps you haven't seen all the same movies I have, but there are very, VERY, few material things that deserve that comparison...

And I think you found one! Good job.

A Saab (can't google the year now, I'm too out of it) from the nineties. Some summers you never forget, and I have a nasty tendency to link cars with them.

you're spot on with the comparison of the e9x 3 series vs e9x m3. although the layout is the same, something makes it that much more upscale (for lack of a better term). i'm hoping its the exact same feeling on the f8x. because i really didn't like the f3x interior. felt weak and cheap everywhere.

I don't feel the same, my F80 interior and exterior looks far better than my E90 M3 by a mile although I do miss the thigh extenders on the front seats. The car does feel bigger though.

Have to agree with you OP. I have not been bashful about noting my distaste for the F8X interior, especially the iPad thing on the top of the dash. I just wish you could spec a car with LESS tech and comfort features, like you could with the E9X series. Plus, the F8X is now a "large car," with width approaching 5 series specs.

I loved the simplicity of my "single hump" E92's interior. I'm no luddite, but the tech in the F32/F82 is intrusive and distracting in a driving environment. But I don't blame BMW for this: I think they have their market right, and I just don't fit in.

Perfect. Don't buy one and move along. Case solved.
