Can you get a discount on an M4 yet?

I am thinking of trading in my F20 125d for an M4 but wondered if there was any chance of getting a discount from the dealer yet or is it too early for that? And can you knock them down on the finance APR or is that fixed by BMW?

I believe that dealers are not allowed to give discounts at the moment. There may be some scope for fairly generous trade in deals

I got around 6% off my convertible order (no part ex), I think that is because I know the dealership so well. They did say that BMW UK had told them no official discounts available.

While there is more demand than supply for the car it will be difficult to get any discount- there is no need at the moment for BMW to discount these cars. Give it another 12 months after the initial excitement has worn off and I'm sure there will be deals to be had.

Has anyone else had any success. I understand there are still slots available for September unsold - so dealer told me.

Would be good to know anyone that has managed a good deal. Think 6% is the best UK I've heard of. Am sitting tight for now until launch to see if things change.

I got a fairly generous trade in which would appear to have been subsidised but I couldn't possibly comment

Well I sold my car tonight so am now in the market for a car. Lead option is the M4 cab. Thinking SO but need to see the colour first. Was put off YAS as think will be most popular colour.

Looking for the right deal on a car now so need to start shopping around. Any advice?

Thanks

Might depend on how you are planning to do the money side ie cash/pcp etc. As car is only due to be launched on 6th Sept, getting good current deals might be tough. However, in a few weeks if dealers have a lot of unsold metal on their forecourts, as winter approaches then I am sure there will be deals to be had. Not sure as many cabs as demos will be available compared to coupes so supply might be restricted slightly.

Like all cars, needs the initial novelty factor to wear off a bit.
