The manual boot is a straight fit. Same opening as an auto boot. You just have to remove the PRND template and tuck away a piece and snap the manual boot in. Very easy. There should be a diy on this forum.

The knob is temp borrowing it from a friend till mine comes in the mail. I got a twm shifter adapter and then welded in a m12 threaded bolt with a round Allen head top and then reinforced it with a metal cap for extra strength even it already is stiff as is. Then I got a three inch shifter extender. Most people won't like it but I like it a lot and the shifts with it are much easier then when I had the performance knob in. Someday I'll come around to making and extension to fit the performance knob on. I also have the performance ssk

You can go 2 ways: 1) buy f30 knob and e90 boot 2) buy f30 knob (it comes with the boot) and then you pull the boot over the plastic frame you disassembled from the old e90 boot. (this is the way i went). So basically it's a f30 knob and boot on an e90 frame.
