2014-X5, X35i "M Sport" Paint Peel
Has anyone had any issues or concerns with their paint on a 2014 X5?
I was washing my car today , and found what I thought was my first paint chip/scratch, I knew it was coming, but it is never easy. When I took a closer look, to me, it was not a scratch or chip, it was paint peeling off the plastic below the drivers door. The layer of paint was only half as thick as a piece "Saran Rap". If I brought this to the dealers attention, do you think they would do anything? |

Yea...that's a brutal photo! I would hazard to say that your dealer will address this for you. Might turn into a bit of a 'he said...she said' though, as this could be deemed as damage in their eyes. Just playing devil's advocate. As for my F15, no issues to date with fit and finish, been very happy with it. I only had one small scratch to contend with during the delivery...was quickly rectified by the dealer. Good luck with sorting this out and keep us posted on the outcome please.

Hey loumckay, were you able to perform a walkaround the vehicle on the day you picked it up? Chances are there was a small rock chip on that area and when you went over using the pressure washer it stripped off some paint (see this thread http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=998947)
Best is to go to your dealer, but it will be tough for them to repaint the whole area as to recommending you to use touch-up paint to address the issue |
