How does facebook know me?

I do not have (nor have I even viewed) a facebook account. I have never even been on facebook.

I received this spam from them, however two of the people are actually people that I know.

One is friend of my wife from her days as a flight attendant some 10+ years ago (Lon Bullock)...she keeps in touch with her by phone/txt a few times a year.

The other is someone that I did my residency with (Barb Deli)...I have not had any contact with her for 10 + yrs.

The pics are of them...

So, how does facebook know who I know...and how did they get my email???

your friends most have put your email and facebook sends it out for you to join, it sone of the features you can do on it enter friends email if they are not on facebook

They'll add/find contacts via emails. So maybe one of them imported their email contact list to find/request all their email contacts so that's how you got into facebooks system.

Facebook is secretly run by the government. They are waiting for the entire population to be connected through facebook to initiate their master plan. That being said, I think you should add Alison Price to your friends list.

People uploaded their email address book to FB and your email was part of that upload.

recently on the section "friends you may know," it suggested Maria Ozawa (we do not have any mutual friends)

facebook knows all!!!!!!!!

no...but I do know barb deli and lon bullock...the others IDK...

There is NO WAY these people have my email...I have a @mac.com that they may know...

I think that Jennifer Thompson is not a real person...but definitely some others are...

i guess...maybe...but Barb Deli was an intern and I was her Chief resident...so I only knew her for a year and no communication since...so I cannot imagine that she has my email

take some screen shots...

I get what everone is saying about people uploadng my email (which I doubt because they don't have my email)...but what about the others that I don't know...are they just random people

If they whole thing was spam I wouldn't know anyone...but I know two of the people..one is my wife's friend (doesn't have my email) and the other couldn't have my email because when I knew her, I didn't have this email address...

I really don't want to facebook...but now I wonder how these girls look

(BTW...I am OLD, unlike many of you...so go easy on some of my "friends")

Could be a number of ways. If someone put in your email, it'll send that to you, and the "people you may know" are based on the originator's friends or friends of friends. Perhaps Jennifer got your name from a business card or that crazy wine party you were at last month.
