Thin toilet paper worth it?

Do you really get more toilet paper per roll with the thin stuff or do you find yourself just using more to compensate?

Anyone re use rags to save a little extra money?

Do you wipe back to front? Or?

This is some first world issue, have a small hand held bucket and let the water soooooothe your genitalia when your done, soapy water optional, using your hands to rub down also optional, drying I leave up to you.

LOL a year or so ago a Dutch politician said taking a leak in the shower would benefit water savings as part of some 'what to do in a crisis'- ideas. So others(off course) came up with the plan you're stating.

I always go for the cheap store brand. I feel the when I used to buy the expensive brands, they whole run out a lot quicker.

I prefer the thin stuff. It's tougher. You go through a roll just as fast but you have less occurrences of pressing your fingers through it. The puffy stuff is more absorbant for the gals. Thinner stuff is more guy oriented.

A friend of mine worked in a northern Ontario hydro project in winter. They had showers but the toilets were outhouses. His buddies realized they never saw him going to the outhouse so he shared this very technique with them as it was -40 degrees and he preferred to shit in the hot shower rather than the freezing outhouse.

He says after that nobody was going to the outhouse.....
