Dealer Delivery prices in Australia
What are people paying for dealer delivery in Australia, and what do you get for that?
I paid $1,300 --> $1,750 incl GST and Luxury Car Tax. Get all the usual detailing and mechanical stuff plus carpet mats, phone and iPod adaptors. Someone told me that BMW's standard dlivery fee in Oz was about $4,500, that seems too high though. Many thanks in advance for anyone sharing their cost.

how much is the full on road cost of your car jamie? get your dealer to itemise the individual costs. your on road costs should amount to about $8,500.00 plus or minus. if so, you paid the full delivery fee. let me know.

Australian Delivery Costs
I think I ended up paying around $1000 since I am in the Executive Preference Plan (EPP). But I think the average dealer delivery is just under $2000.

I got EPP pricing (exec preference plan). This means you get free mats, 2 years free servicing (50,000 kms), and $1300 for delivery. Standard/retail delivery on the 3 series is $3916.
Other stuff: - Rego: $675 (can't understand why its different for everyone ?) - Stamp Duty: $2920 (once again, because it is calculated on the basic car price exclusive of extras this should be the same for all 325i autos) - GST: $7494 - LCT: $5780 Last edited by Costa; 09-17-2005 at 12:01 AM.. |

Hey guys this all looks a little inconsistant.
I added approx $4k worth of accessories (after market) to my deal but if i take that $4k off this is my break up. Rego $247 Euro plate $150 ( i think not listed on my invoice, listed as premium plates @ $64 but replaced with Euro price.) CTP $335 Dealer Delivery $1850 Stamp Duty $3020 GST $6762.26 LCT $3949.07 This is what i got. Sapphire Black paint Steptronic Sunroof 162 18" wheels Sports Suspension Rear spoiler CF lips Tinted windows Euro plates Brushed Aluminium Trim Leather sports steering wheel Black leather interior Floor Mats Anthracite Boot mat Ipod adapter cable Phone adapter Umbrella(lol haa funny hey) Upside of this deal is that i get my car on Monday the 19th September 2005. Downside for getting my car earlier are Options i missed out on and wish i got are Xenon lights Adaptive headlights Sat Nav Pro/Idrive Sports Seats Im happy with the deal i negotiated especially the after market stuff..hheee lol... Even though i bought this through my company which means i claim the gst anyway but its always better to pay less upfront. JamieA going by your deal looks like you did a great job, maybe you should be involved in my next purchase...haa (new X5 for the little misses) You have a year to do the research, i think it comes out late this year or early next.

Oh yeah
6 cd stacker (standard) electric seats (standard) PDC (standard) I probably have more than this but i still dont have the final invoice yet which details everything. So i might have to pay a little more GST LCT SD but like i said alot of the after market accessories are not subject to LCT as they will be fitted after delivery (technically speaking) JamieA I have only 2 Sleeps left mate... yeah...

Aussie, I hope the E90 fairy makes the next two days go quickly and you are behind the wheel quickly.
Yes I did get a good deal, that was by cross quoting the dealership with other dealers interstate, they were keen to get the business, and our MD also got his 5 Series there so there was some friendly capital accumulated there beforehand. I started this thread because when they said that delivery was $4k normally, I thought they were having a lend, standard delivery at Audi was only $1200. I asked whether they rubbed naked virgins all over the car for $4k --- they didn't ge the joke unfortuantely, but told me that you did get mats etc for that. At the end, I got EPP, so I was happy...

Oh, and don't forget that a large part of the discount I got was reduced LCT and GST - account for 35% of it) This is the great thing, for every $1,000 the dealer gives you off the price, you actually save $1,350!! because you don't pay the additional $350 in GST+LCT
So the deal I got was a bit of smoke and mirrors, and they also included the reduced "delivery charge" from $4k --> $1.7k which I think is a bit of a furphy... because I would have not accepted such a high delivery price - unless delivery was going to be something extra special

Was at Fox studios for a mates work function (movie and dinner in a private screening with all drinks supplied) Mate i had took 5 bacardis with me and topped up every now and then.. Then headed over to Fox and lion to watch the swans beat st kilda.... great game great people good times...then headed over to the wine banc @ martin place till close.... got dinner tonigth at a spanish restuarant but im sooooo tired....

price of $30k for my e46 5 months before delivery and i still added quite a few thousand kms before swapping it over. other dealers offered a lot less as a guide only and were only prepared to talk $$$ once my car arrived. so from that point of view, i was happy with my deal. they give with one hand and take with the other. by the way, the 325 comes standard with 6 stacker cd player, boot mat & leather for australia. now if the state governments hold their hands out for some stamp duty, the final price will differ. this applies to rego too. enjoy your cars guys.

Costa, all you need to do is ask you dealer to order them for you. its a little extra but they look pretty cool on the euro car. Sorry i missed quoted in the last post its actually $190 for the euro plate plus $160 if you want to have custom plates each year. check out this link http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registrati...pricelist.html

Costa you are in Adelaide aren't you? Unfortunately we don't seem to have Euro plates here (just checked the Transport SA website) the best is the premium plates, you know "AA0 00A" style for $140

JamieA, I came up empty today, I went and visited frenchy and he gave me a cash deposit as promised however his finance wont be ready until tomorrow so that means i wont be picking my car up until Wednesday or Thursday. At least i have his deposit in my pocket which makes me feel as if the deal is closer. Very nice guy so Im glad hes getting my E46 as the car is near perfect condition not bad for a 4 year old car. So looks like its 2 more sleeps to go.

yeah sorry about SA not being able to get Euro plates, they look pretty good on the car however i wish we didnt need to have the front plate as the e90 looks great without it. Might have to lobby against the need for a front plate. Is it really required? Besides for the legal aspect. Anyway im just writing crap now as nobody in Australia doesnt seem to be online. JamieA where are you? Haa lol maybe your stalking suggestions are backfiring LOL LMAO

Hey George, glad the car is going to a good guy, you will feel happier knowing that it is going to a good home. Been playing with my new toy - a Grundig alarm clock, and hooking it into the wireless network I have in the house so that I can play music to it from my Mac wirelessly - call it a compensating purchase if you will, but I need something to keep my mind at rest... it would kill me to go through the extra wait that you are experiencing right now.

thanks for your sympathy, I guess I really dont have much to complain about as many people are not as fortunate as us to be in the position to moan about this. Sometimes I feel a little selfish however then I think about all the hard work Ive put into my life and I get over it pretty quickly. Truth is if my friends put half the effort into setting themselves up they and many others could do and buy wateva they want too.
Anyway enough of this talk lets talk indulgence. Ive also been looking for toys to play with maybe a plasma for my bedroom, hmmm maybe a new phone that is 100% compatible with the e90. Bought an automatic fish feeder for my Reef aquarium on ebay today very exciting hey. I usually have a line up of friends wanting to stay at my place while im overseas but this time alot of my friends are going to be away aswell so had to buy this handy little feeder. So what else can you buy hey. If you lived in Sydney i could get you all sorts of gadgets at mates rates. Even if you wanted me to post things to you mate let me know.
