Good point. I blame Dodge for bringing it back with too many doors. I wasn't around for the two door one.

In the real world, the GT in the movie was a 390FE powered car and the Charger had the 440 plant and easily pulled away from the GT.
My first car was a hand me down 67 Chrysler with the 440 4bbl and it was a torque monster. It guzzled gas like a jet on afterburner but it was worth it.
Great movie, great Mustang.

I am a Mustang enthusiast -- who actually took Gold with my 2006 Mustang GT during the 2019 Mustang Club of American Grand National Mustang Show at Fredricksburg, VA this past September. They displayed the Bullitt there and I had an opportunity to see it up close and in person. Is it a great icon car? Yes. Does it have a great story behind it? Absolutely. Is it worth $3.4M? Only to the one who paid for it.
