Here in Canada, dealerships already have production numbers and months (not schedule week mind you) for the cars up to end of calendar year, so yours should as well. Shoot me a PM and I can give you more details.

I'm (ostensibly) on several waiting "lists" with different dealers here in California, and have one documented order bank slot. But this quote from one of the internet sales managers pretty much sums up my experience so far. I was particularly amused when hearing about the "California mark-up"
"We have slots coming up later in the summer. As for your exact location on the list, I will have to check with our manager who is handling the orders. Since they are all going for over MSRP with the California mark-up, I am not sure how that will change your positioning. It would depend on you and what the price is going at the time. They are a limited production car and that affects the pricing." |

Wake up. The dealer can't tell the buyer their car is in production and not provide a production number.
