Got a new (to me) 2008 550i.

Hi guys,
I just bought a 2008 550i, with 20k miles on it.
Carbon black, black interior.
Options include:
Sports Package with 19in wheels
Sports Auto Transmission
Cold Weather Package
Heated Rear Seats
Comfort Access Package
Navigation
Logic7 sound
rear and side window shades
Folding rear seats
Anthracite Headliner
Adaptive Lights
IPOD/USB hookup

I love the car. This is my 4th BMW, and first 5 series.

I do have a couple of questions:
1. it does not have the USB/Ipod cable. I do have a separate iphone USB cable, and an auxiliary cable. I plugged both into their respecitve places and the iphone, and i could get sound out of the ipod through the car speakers, but it did not register the ipod contents inthe idrive. Do I need the BMW specific cable? if not, how can I get the iDrive to recognize the contents of the ipod in my iphone to show in the display?

2. I want to get an M style lip spoiler for the trunk. Do you recommend a place to get one from? ebay? other place?

any help would be appreciated.

Beautiful car, thanks for posting pics. I can't answer your questions though. You might try posting these questions on E90POST. Even though it is a 3 series site, there is alot more activity over there than on 5POST.

p.s. note the typo on what you drive under your member name: 2008 500i
