My awareness on the bike is much higher here than it was in MI, but I enjoy every chance I get to ride given the risk. |

What I'm considering doing instead is getting a powered paraglider. They have a safety record similar to motorcycles, but the difference is there's no idiot traffic in the sky, so you're fully responsible for your own safety rather than being largely reliant on the actions of others for your safety. For the same level of risk, this looks higher-reward. Looks epic! |

Very cool, thought I wouldn't think the authorities would be thrilled with someone flying around the Hoover dam like that.

That's mainly what you learn learning to fly anything; how to read the conditions and deal with emergencies. It's wise to never be out of gliding range of somewhere you can ditch, so if you're flying over trees, for instance, you want to stay close to a road. |

I really.... reallly want one of those. Bad. I have a new aspiration to amount to!
Also, I've always wanted to try base jumping with a wing suit. Shit looks intense. |

I'd actually prefer to skydive. My grandpa is famous in the skydiving community, my GF used to jump, and a friend is an instructor, but the drop zone in my town SUCKS. One Cessna, and you have to land at 4500' altitude. So, it takes a long time to go up, you can only take two friends, and you get very little freefall time and a fast landing up in the thin air. Consequently, there's not much of a community here, which is half the fun. Wing suits are tricky beasts. You need to have hundreds of jumps before you try. Speed flying looks pretty epic, too. You take a tiny parachute and ski down a mountain. My grandpa says it's super risky though. I'm a great skier, but you also have to be an expert flyer and mountaineer for this. I've skydived before, it was a good time, Michigan was pretty flat so reaching alt and free fall time was about as good as it can get. I would like to go again, but I really want to try base jumping of some sort at least once. |

At least you're not 98.9849%, because at that level you've official reached the Flex zone.
