2007 550i overheating
Changed the water pump, thermostat drove about 1000 miles after and now it's overheating. After I drive 10-15 miles it starts to smoke out of the hood and the hoses have to much pressure. I have never seen the fan turn on but when the cars running, I'll unplug the fan and plug it back in and it turns on full blast and after a couple seconds shuts off and doesn't turn back on. Could it be a sensor? Sorry this is my first BMW. I have a friend that works on Mercedes and he said it's cause the A/C belt isn't on it but I can't see that having anything to do with the radiator fan.

Cylinder head gasket maybe?
You can have the coolant tested for a head gasket leak. Exhaust gas under pressure leaking into your coolant can boil it quickly even if the cooling system is fine
