525i iDrive Upgrade?

I am the new owner of a 2007 525i with iDrive. It did not come with Navigation or Sirius satellite radio. Is it possible to add Navigation and/or Sirius satellite radio to the iDrive? Please let me know if anyone has any knowledge of this.

Interested in this answer also as I'm 3 days into my new 07 525xi.

I know I'm pre-wired for satellite so I'm hoping this is an easy/inexpensive update.

I have a 2008 and was looking into upgrading both. The BMW dealer can determine if you're prewired for satellite by the checking VIN number. The plug in is in the trunk - pretty straightforward if prewired. The kist around $500.

As for navigation, the recommendation that this was going to be too expensive to upgrade since the guts is all different.

I find this picture from other web, they change can upgrade cd player to dvd system, or u might just find aftermarket navi

It is possible to retrofit the Navigation system either the old one (CCC) or the latest one (CIC).
There are not so many parts to add/replace comparing to E9x.

humm...it looks kinda cramped. I have seen someone install a double din in dash unit. I will try to find the pics.
