It's my fault really.....
I should have parked 2 spots away from the 1st spot and on the diagonal. Next time I'm in a GODDAMN WIDE OPEN parking lot, I'll remember to do that.

It's a well-known fact in California that if you put on your hazard lights, you may park ANYWHERE regardless or normal rules/regulations.
