Curious, do you do meatless Friday all year round or just during Lent? As a kid it was no meat on Fridays period.

All through the year not just lent, carried it on from when with mom and dad. It's a tradition here too with Friday's being fish and chips night.

I had so much tuna casserole as a kid, I'll never eat it again!!! Same with corned beef/boiled dinner. I'll never eat corned beef and cabbage again in my life (and that's coming from an Irish Catholic kid from Boston)

tonight, kids are still at college, wife is traveling this week for work. Friday during Lent, all alone (except the dog and cat) whipped up some shrimp scampi for 1

Its mostly 30-40yo people, then me at 24 there, so it's not like the typical "my tire pressures were low" sorta group.

There's usually something going on every weekend too so it's not a "once in a blue moon you make it or you miss it" deal either
